What we believe

1.

No surprises

Flat monthly pricing, work scoped and quoted before it starts, and a clear answer when you ask what something costs. You should never be surprised by an invoice.

2.

Prevention over firefighting

We run IT as an ongoing service, monitoring, patching, and securing your systems so problems get caught early, instead of waiting for something to break.

3.

Security in the foundation

Endpoint protection, backup, and identity security are part of every plan, not upsells. A business that skips them is a business at risk, so we build them in from the start.

4.

Backups you can count on

Your data is backed up on a 3-2-1 model with an offsite, immutable copy, and we monitor those backups daily so a recovery is never the first time anyone checks.

5.

Plain answers, not jargon

We explain what we are doing and why in language that makes sense to you, so you can make informed decisions about your business without needing an IT degree.

Your data is yours

No hostage situations. If you ever leave, we hand back your data and documentation. We would rather keep your business by earning it than by locking you in.

Our story

Mar 2022

Nexus is founded

Nexus Ideal Solutions starts in New Jersey, built on a plain observation: a fifteen-person firm needs the same standard of IT as a company with its own department, and almost nobody sells it to them that way. What it gets sold instead is an hourly rate and a phone number nobody answers. The foundation underneath the company is decades of hands-on network engineering, which is a different thing from a sales background.

Apr 2023

A partner comes on board

A business partner comes on board, and with them the operational side of running a company rather than practicing a trade. Engineering can build the thing. Someone still has to decide how it gets billed, how a client is answered, and what the company will not do. The rules that came out of that period are the ones still in force: quote before you work, never bill a ticket, say the uncomfortable thing early.

May 2023

Building the team

Engineers get hired before clients do. That order is deliberate and it is expensive, and it is the only way to avoid the thing that ruins small providers: selling a service first and then scrambling to staff it. A client who signs with us is not waiting for us to go find someone. The people are already here.

Jul 2024

Our first client

The first managed client signs. Everything before this is preparation; this is the day the company starts being tested by someone else's business rather than by its own plans. The way that engagement ran is the way they all run now. Learn the environment properly before changing anything. Put the protections in before there is an incident to justify them. Answer the phone.

Aug 2024

A complete service stack

The security stack stops being a menu. Endpoint detection and response, identity protection, DNS filtering, patch management, and backup with an offsite immutable copy all move into the base plan, on every device, for every client. The usual model in this industry is to sell the cheap tier and then sell protection back to you after something goes wrong. That model is very profitable and we will not run it.

Jan 2025

Growing our reach

New Jersey is still home, and the map is wider now. Staff on the ground in Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, Pittsburgh, and West Palm Beach, because a company that says it covers a metro should have somebody who can actually stand in the room. Everything else is remote, which is faster anyway. What has not changed is the part that is hardest to copy: you call, and a person who knows your network picks up.
